Lower-Waste Living: Practical Swaps Without the Perfection
Start with products you actually need
Reducing unnecessary purchases can matter as much as replacing one material with another. A lower-waste approach starts by using what you already own, repairing where practical and choosing replacements carefully when something genuinely needs replacing.
Bathroom and hair care
Solid-format products can reduce the need for a conventional liquid bottle for that purchase. Eco-Faction currently offers a Goat’s Milk Shampoo Bar, which is compact for storage and travel. It contains an animal-derived ingredient and should not be described as vegan.
Kitchen and table
Durable wooden kitchenware can be chosen for function, natural appearance and long-term use. Our reclaimed and olive-wood kitchenware includes cutting and serving boards and olive-wood table pieces. Material and sourcing statements should be read on the relevant product page.
Phone protection
If you need a replacement phone case, our plant-based and recycled-material cases provide alternatives to a conventional all-new-plastic case for selected iPhone models. End-of-life conditions vary, so we do not promise universal home compostability.
A useful rule
Look for specific information about material, durability, care and disposal rather than assuming labels such as “zero waste” or “eco-friendly” describe the whole lifecycle of a product.
